New Leaf Mental Health Effective Date: April 29, 2026

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using our website or services. By accessing our website or booking an appointment, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the New Leaf Mental Health website or services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services Offered & Limitations

New Leaf Mental Health provides telehealth psychiatric services for adults, including:

  • Comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
  • Medication management
  • Integrative psychiatry consultations
  • ADHD screening and treatment
  • Women’s mental health, including perinatal and postpartum care
  • Depression and anxiety treatment
  • PTSD and trauma-related care
  • Telehealth psychiatric services

Our services are provided via telehealth and are available to adults in California and Utah only. We reserve the right to decline services to individuals outside our licensed service areas or outside the scope of our practice.

We do not provide traditional weekly psychotherapy. When appropriate, we collaborate with therapists and other providers to support coordinated care.

3. Not a Substitute for Emergency Care

Our services are not intended for psychiatric emergencies or crisis situations. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, suicidal thoughts, or are at risk of harming yourself or others, please:

  • Call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room
  • Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)
  • Text HOME to 741741 (Crisis Text Line)

By using our services, you acknowledge that New Leaf Mental Health is not an emergency service and cannot guarantee immediate response outside of scheduled appointment times.

4. Telehealth Consent & Limitations

By booking a telehealth appointment, you consent to receiving psychiatric care through electronic communication. You acknowledge that:

  • Telehealth has inherent limitations compared to in-person care
  • Technical difficulties may affect the quality or continuity of your session
  • You are responsible for ensuring a private, secure environment during your appointment
  • You must be physically located in California or Utah at the time of your appointment

We use HIPAA-compliant platforms for all telehealth sessions. However, we cannot guarantee complete security of electronic communications and are not liable for breaches resulting from your own technology or internet connection.

5. Appointment & Cancellation Policy

Appointments must be scheduled in advance through our online booking system or contact form. Please arrive on time for your scheduled telehealth appointment.

We require a minimum of 24 business hours notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a $75 fee, which will be charged to the card on file. These charges are generally not billable to health insurance and remain the responsibility of the patient or responsible party.

We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel appointments due to provider availability, emergencies, or circumstances outside our control. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you and offer an alternative appointment.

6. Payment & Billing

We accept major insurance plans including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and 200+ additional in-network plans. Patients are responsible for verifying their insurance coverage and understanding their benefits, co-pays, and deductibles prior to their appointment.

For patients without insurance or who prefer to pay out of pocket, our cash-pay rates are as follows:

  • Initial psychiatric evaluation: $300
  • Follow-up visits: $200
  • Psychotherapy add-on: Included in the session fee

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. We reserve the right to collect outstanding balances and may use third-party billing services to process payments.

7. User Responsibilities

By using our website and services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information at all times
